SCOUTING UNCG (3-15, 2-8)
The Spartans have won just three games this season defeating Samford and Georgia Southern in home contests. UNCG has lost 11 of its last 12 coming into Saturday's game with back-to-back losses to Furman and at Elon. The Spartans average 49.2 points per game and give up 63 to its opponents. Breonna Patterson leads the team in scoring with 10.5 points per game followed by Janae' Stevenson's 8.5 an outing. On the boards, UNCG is outrebounded 34.8-40.9 (-6.1) by its opponents with Jarae Savage leading the way with 5.6 per game followed by Stevenson's 5.1 rpg. Dayshaun Richbow has a team-high 51 assists and 33 steals.
CHATTANOOGA vs. UNCG
The Lady Mocs are 29-6 against the Spartans dating back to 1998. UNCG won the first four meetings between the two teams and five of the first seven. UTC went on to win the next 15 games before the Spartans grabbed a 71-68 win at the Roundhouse. The Lady Mocs have won the last 12 meetings between the two teams and are 12-3 against UNCG at home.
Chattanooga opened the Southern Conference season at UNCG on Dec. 1 and posted 63-46 win over the Spartans. The Lady Mocs trailed UNCG 20-5 just six minutes into the game and Head Coach Wes Moore switched from a zone defense to a man-to-man and UTC held UNCG to just 26 points over the remaining 34 minutes. Whitney Hood led all scorers with 19 points and eight rebounds. Kayla Christopher added 17 point, five rebounds - four offensive - and six assists. Taylor Hall had a then-career-high 12 rebounds and added six points while Alex Black was the third player in double figures with 10 points after starting the second half.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department will pay tribute to its women's basketball past Saturday. UTC welcomes back former Lady Mocs players, coaches and staff including the women's first varsity head coach Grace Keith. UTC's all-time leading scorer and rebounder, All-American Regina Kirk, the Southern Conference all-time 3-point shooter Brooke Hand Long as well as two-time SoCon Players of the Year Shanara Hollinquest, Katasha Brown Flatt and Damita Bullock are expected to be on hand. Members of the 2004 team that beat Rutgers in the first round of the NCAA tournament will be in attendance as well as members of teams from every era of UTC varsity women's basketball.
On Saturday at 3 p .m., fans can attend a public reception for the former Lady Mocs at the Chattem Basketball Practice Facility in the Lawson Center located on Vine Street beside the Johnson-Obear Apartments. Admission to the reception is $5 and will end just prior to the Lady Mocs game vs. UNCG at the McKenzie Arena. The game is set to tip off at 5 p.m. with a special halftime recognition.
