The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team hits the road for a pair of matches this weekend.  The Lady Mocs face Evansville on Saturday, Feb. 11, and Murray State on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Both matches have start times of 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) and both will be played at the Kenlake Tennis Center in Aurora, Ky., hosted by Murray State.

Complete results will be available following both matches on GoMocs.com.  Be sure to check back for a full recap and stats.

"We have two tough matches this weekend," stated head coach Jeff Clark.  "Evansville is off to a strong start this year, and Murray State always has a competitive squad, especially at home.  Our girls have been working hard since our last match, and we will be ready."

The Lady Mocs have opened the season with perfect 7-0 sweeps of both Lipscomb and Belmont.  Chattanooga is led by junior Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.).  She is a two-time All-SoCon performer and leads the team with a 10-3 singles record this season.

Senior Emily Hangstefer (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) is 9-1 overall with wins at No. 3 and No. 4.  Nurik and freshman Kaylene Chadwell (Franklin, Tenn.) are 9-1 as a doubles tandem at No. 2.

Evansville is 3-0, including wins over Lipscomb, Austin Peay and UT Martin.  The Racers have a 7-0 win over North Alabama on its resume this spring.  Chattanooga is 7-4 all-time against MSU, including a 2-1 mark on the road.  Murray State won the last match, 4-2 on March 27, 2007.  This will be UTC's first visit to the Racers since 1988 when it scored a 5-3 win.
