CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Mocs softball team hosts “Meet the Mocs” Wednesday, January 28, at 6:30 p.m., at the UTC Indoor Hitting Facility. A free event hosted to promote the upcoming 2015 season, everyone is invited to attend.
Coaches and student-athletes will be signing autographs and handing out schedule cards and posters to supporters in attendance. Five-time Southern Conference Coach of the Year Frank Reed previews his squad and introduces the student-athletes during the event.
2014 SoCon Most Outstanding Player Katie Henderson and 2014 All-Tournament honorees Sam Taylor, Jesslyn Stockard, and Sarah Beth Roberts will be on-hand for practice and autographs. After the team is introduced, it will participate in a light practice on their full-size indoor infield and sign autographs after the workout. The UTC Indoor Hitting Facility is located at 1253 E 3rd Street.
It follows “Media Day” at 3 p.m. Members of the media get interview opportunities with Reed as well as selected student-athletes.
Schedule cards and posters are provided free from the Chattanooga marketing department. Give-aways and other promotional Mocs items will be made available along with merchandise for purchase from the Chattanooga RBI Club.
Chattanooga begins its season Feb. 6 against George Washington in Auburn Ala., at the Plainsman Invitational.
