CHARLESTON, S.C. --- Chattanooga (18-12/13-7) opens Southern Conference tournament play Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the North Charleston Coliseum facing the No. 7 seed Elon.  The Phoenix topped Furman in the first round 52-37 to advance to the quarter-finals, while the Mocs held a bye.

WHO:  Nicchaeus Doaks.  The all-conference selection is hot at the right time.  He has scored in double figures in each of the last 16 games including a career high of 26 points against Davidson.  Over that span, he has averaged 16.2 points (259), 7.6 rebounds (121) and 1.2 blocks (19) per game.  During the stretch, he is shooting 59.4 percent (101-170) from the floor.
