CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Lady Mocs Softball Team will be hosting UAB Wednesday for a doubleheader at 4 p.m. while bringing attention to Breast Cancer Awareness by acknowledging the MaryEllen Locher Foundation.

The MaryEllen Locher Foundation was established in honor of the late NewsChannel 9 local favorite, MaryEllen Locher. Some of the Foundation's main causes are to bring additional awareness to this growing illness and to raise scholarship funds for children who have lost a parent to breast cancer and children of breast cancer survivors.

Chattanooga Athletics would like as many people as possible Wednesday at Frost Stadium for this special event. There will be an opportunity to donate to this foundation while adding to the game-day atmosphere.

The event will feature a ceremonial first pitch by a local breast cancer survivor. All fans attending the game wearing a pink shirt will receive free admission. All other fans can purchase tickets at the Frost Stadium box office on game-day or by calling 266-MOCS. Standard ticket prices are $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, $2 for Children and UTC Staff. Group tickets can be purchased for just $2 per ticket for any group of 10 or more.

Along with the MaryEllen Locher Foundation, the UTC bookstore will be in attendance with a special discount on selected items. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will also be represented.
