>Jonathan Hodge lost a 10-man-for-one-spot playoff at the end of stroke play at the U.S. Amateur Public Links at the Murphy Creek Golf Club in Aurora, Colo.

 

>Derek Rende lost in the first round of match play (3&2) to eventual champion John Fox at the TGA Match Play at Tennessee National Golf Club.  Rende finished third in stroke play to qualify for the 16-man match play field.

 

>In the latest R&A World Amateur Golf Rankings, Hodge is No. 21, while Fredrik Qvicker is No. 59.
