CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---A current ESPN.com men's basketball project ranks the Chattanooga Mocs among the elite programs in the nation.  In “The Prestige,” ESPN.com attempts to rank the top programs of the modern era (since 1984-85).

The Mocs are ranked No. 48 out of 300 programs with 75 total points ranking just ahead of Big 10 member Iowa with 72 points.  SoCon rival College of Charleston is No. 50 with 70 points.  UTC finished ahead of such schools as Seton Hall (51), North Carolina State (52), Southern Illinois (t53), Creighton (59), Davidson (60), Marquette (t61), West Virginia (67) and Virginia (t70) among others.  The Mocs easily out-distanced the likes of Vandy (t96), Tennessee (99) and Georgia (t105) as well.
