CHATTANOOGA ? The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics department has reached a three-year agreement with Comcast Spotlight to produce and air coaches' shows for football, men's and women's basketball, it was announced Wednesday.
"We are thrilled to partner with Comcast to produce and broadcast our coaches' shows” said Chattanooga Athletics Director Rick Hart. “Through this relationship, our fans will have access to a robust array of third-tier programming to include, for the first time, a show for Coach Wes Moore and our women's basketball program. Additionally, UTC's visibility and exposure will expand into a twelve-state area which includes all markets throughout the Southern Conference. In a time when consumers expect to view content 'on demand,' our shows will now be available 24/7 for a growing number of digital customers via Comcast's On Demand service. Clearly, this partnership enhances the UTC Brand and facilitates our efforts to foster broad participation from the community.”
Valerie Gillespie, Vice President/General Manager Comcast Chattanooga added, “Comcast is proud to announce our partnership with The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and we are committed to building awareness of both their academic and athletic achievements.”
The shows will air weekly in 12 states on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and will feature 13 episodes for each sport. Each show will also receive additional local access airings in the Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville and Memphis markets. The shows will also be available via Comcast On Demand in Chattanooga, Knoxville and Nashville as well as online at GoMocs.com.
The partnership will begin with Inside Chattanooga Football which will air across the CSS network Wednesday's at 4:00 p.m. The show will continue to be hosted by Heather Williams and will consist of highlights, features and player profiles. The additional airings can be found below.
