Summer Rewind ? Women's Golf
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---Below is a listing of results for the Chattanooga women's golf program over the summer of 2008.
Kayla Stewart (Jr.): Competed in the Tennessee State Amateur missing the championship flight in a playoff but won the first flight. Stewart competed in the Tennessee State Open shooting 78-76-78 finishing 20th out of 102, sixth among the event's amateurs.
Katie Taylor (Jr.): Katie made the championship flight of the Western Women's Amateur shooting twin 77's to make it into match play losing in the first round (3&2) to Milena Savage.
Emma de Groot (So.): Carded a top 15 finish in the New South Wales Stroke Play Championships in Australia and made it to the quarterfinals of the New South Wales Amateur Championships. Won the North Coast Open and helped lead her team (Pennant Hills) to a second-place finish in Grade 1 Pennants where she went undefeated.
Christine Wolf (So.): Represented Austria in the 2008 Women's British Amateur and the 2008 European Team Championship. Won an event in the Austrian Women's tour and placed fourth in the Austrian Open.
Maria Salinas (Fr.): Completed her summer ranked No. 2 in Peru winning the Lima Golf Club Championship and AFP Integra.
Maria Juliana Loza (Fr.): Helped lead Columbian team to the South American Junior Championship. Finished third in medal play in the Colombian Amateur Championship, second in the 50th Bucaramanga International Open and got through the first round of qualifying for the US Women's Open.
