CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The regular season is winding down as the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga hosts Davidson Monday night in the McKenzie Arena. It will be the final home game of the season for the Mocs who have three games left before heading to Charlotte, N.C., for the Southern Conference Tournament (March 5-8).
This is the second of a four-game, eight-day stretch to close the season for Chattanooga. The Mocs close it out on the road later this week with a trip to Appalachian State (2/25) and Western Carolina (2/27).
Senior Ty Patterson's 15.0 point-per-game average leads the Mocs. He chips in 5.0 rebounds, which is second on the team, and makes 3.1 three-pointers per game. Sophomore Ricky Taylor adds 11 points and 3.4 boards to the mix.
Davidson is paced by Jake Cohen's 13 points per game. J.P. Kuhlman and Will Archambault also average in double figures at 12.5 and 11.1 points per contest, respectively. Steve Rossiter leads a team effort on the boards grabbing 6.1 rebounds per game.
WHO: Ty Patterson. Patterson was pivotal to the Mocs' run to the 2010 Southern Conference Tournament Championship. From Ty's electric dunk, to recovering with a block from behind on a fast break layup, as well as the 40-footer to beat the shot clock are all special memories for the Chattanooga faithful.
WHAT: Davidson (14-13/9-6) at Chattanooga (13-15/5-10). Chattanooga holds a 31-20 series lead against Davidson. The last UTC win came on January 23, 2006, in the McKenzie Arena (65-59). This is the only scheduled regular season meeting between the two schools.
WHEN: Monday, Feb. 22, 7 p.m. (ET) in the McKenzie Arena (10,928).

HOW: The Chattanooga athletics department in conjunction with the Student Government Association (SGA) is giving out free t-shirts to the first 250 students at Monday night's home finale against Davidson. The SGA is also providing students free food for around 300 students beginning when the gates open at 6 p.m.
