Softball Starts Fall Slate This Weekend

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga softball team has six games scheduled for the fall including the team's Blue-Gold game on Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. and a trip to Alabama on Oct. 22.  The Lady Mocs open their home schedule with Lee University on Friday at 5 p.m. followed by a doubleheader with Motlow State on Saturday at noon.

Admission to the homes games at Frost Stadium is free and provides fans with an opportunity to see Chattanooga in action before the spring.

Bryan College battles Chattanooga on Oct. 8 with the first pitch of the doubleheader scheduled for 5 p.m.

The annual Blue-Gold game is held on Oct. 16 as the Lady Mocs play an intrasquad scrimmage beginning at 11 a.m. The 2010 Southern Conference Champions will look back on their successful season with a ring ceremony and unveil the program's 11th SoCon banner. This year's event is held on homecoming weekend, which includes the football team taking on Georgia Southern later that day at 6 p.m. at Finley Stadium.

Wrapping up the fall season, the Lady Mocs are off to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for a matchup with Alabama, a 2010 NCAA Super Regional participant, and Central Alabama on Oct. 22. Chattanooga takes on the Crimson Tide at 7 p.m. followed by Central Alabama at 9 p.m., both times are Eastern.
