Lady Mocs Soccer Signs Mackezyk

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer coach J.D. Kyzer announced the addition of Crystal Mackezyk to the2011 singing class.

"Crystal is a good kid, a hard worker and a very aggressive player," Kyzer said. "She has a good knowledge of the game and will be able to help us right away."

Mackezyk, a senior at Spring Hill High School signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the Lady Mocs next season. The 5-9 forward/midfielder from Columbia, Tenn., is a two-time District MVP and four-time all-region player.

She scored 162 goals over her four-year and assisted on 85 more and was received her team's Offensive Award for three straight years. She was selected All-Season as a sophomore and is a four-time all-district and all-tournament selection.

In her freshman and sophomore years, Mackezyk was named Most Valuable Runner in cross country and in her junior year was a member of the district champion 4x800 meter team and took third in the mile run.

The Lady Mocs graduated just two players last season and return two-time all-conference forward Donna-Kay Henry (Queens Village, N.Y.) to the lineup.
