CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Chattanooga Lady Mocs softball team begins their fall season with a nine inning contest against Tennessee Wesleyan on Saturday at 2 p.m. Admission to the event at Frost Stadium is free and provides fans an opportunity to see the Lady Mocs compete before the spring.

The Lady Mocs are rounding out their second week of practice during fall camp with the game against Tennessee Wesleyan.

Ten players including Southern Conference Player of the Year senior Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.) return from last year's team that captured the program's fifth-straight and 13th overall SoCon Regular Season Championship, 11th SoCon Tournament Title and advanced to the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional Finals.

This will be the first opportunity for followers of the team to see six newcomers in action: Brittany Perez, Jenny Garcia, Sarah Beth Roberts, Taylor Deason, Ninjja Suetsugu and Cheyenne Willis.

On Sept. 30, Chattanooga's fall schedule continues with a doubleheader against Roan State set to begin at 5 p.m. at Frost Stadium. The annual Blue-Gold game is on Oct. 15 at 11 a.m., and prior to the contest the Lady Mocs will be recognized for the success of the 2011 squad with unveiling of three championship banners.
