Barroetavena Still Alive at Ohio Valley Regionals

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga junior Manuel Barroetavena (Buenos Aires, Argentina) posted a win at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships in Knoxville, Tenn., today.  He is the lone Moc still alive, advancing to Sunday's quarterfinals in the backdraw.

Junior Roberto Vieira (Bedfordview, South Africa) won his first match today, defeating Wright State's Hayden Joblin (6-2, 6-3).  He was knocked out in a tight match with Vanderbilt's Michael Retta (6-7, 6-1, 1-0 (8)).

Barroetavena opened by advancing on a walkover.  He then defeated Dayton's Andrew Hanley (6-1, 6-0) to advance to the quarters.  He will face Kentucky's Ryoj Hirooka at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
