CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - As the Chattanooga softball season recently came
to a close, the final episode of Extra Innings with Frank Reed is now available
for viewing on MocsVision. The Voice of Lady Mocs softball, Tyler Brown, and
head coach Frank Reed look back on the successful season for the team and took
look at next year's squad.
Chattanooga ended the regular season on May 12 with a loss
to College of Charleston, 7-6, at the Southern Conference Tournament and
finished 39-16 overall. It was a disappointing way to for the team to sendoff
seniors Michelle Fuzzard (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Vivian Morimoto (Sao
Paulo, Brazil) and Jessica Traxler (Chino Hillis, Calif.), who have accomplished a lot in their careers.
Brown and Reed take a look back at the SoCon Tournament in
Boone, N.C., where the Lady Mocs went 2-2 including an 8-1 win over Elon and
6-1 victory against College of Charleston. Georgia Southern dropped Chattanooga 5-2
in the winner's bracket final for the team's first loss of the event.
Coach Reed, then looks back on the 2012 campaign and
highlights some of the achievements that the Lady Mocs made.
The duo take a look at the question of the week that relates
to which players were the ones that stepped up to enable Chattanooga to have a successful season.
The Lady Mocs are completed with the 2012 campaign and will
resume preparations for 2013 in August with the start of the fall semester.
