CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs recently
added three new staff members. The trio have either already started or begin
the first week of July.
Caleb Whitted joined the program as the Director of the
UTC Mocs Club. He comes from Ball State University where he was an Athletic
Development Doctoral Assistant. His focus was working with the Cardinal Varsity
Club beginning in August 2010.
Whitted assisted in all aspects of fundraising efforts
that netted $1.8 million dollars in the fiscal year 2011. He managed benefits
for donors - including parking, game-day hospitality, event invitations and the
Cardinal Insider - and coordinated the Cardinal Club Room for men's basketball
games. He led donor bus trip for football and men's basketball and implemented
new benefits and donation structure with the CVC board to provide a better
donor experience.
Brent McMillian is the new Assistant Ticket Manager. He
takes Geoff Wilcox's spot after Wilcox was promoted to Ticket Manager after
Megan Parker's winter departure. McMillian's last post was as graduate
assistant for event management at Old Dominion University where he attained his
MBA this past spring. He also worked as Promotions and Merchandise Manager/Box
Office Assistant for the Asheville Tourists under former Mocs Ticket Manager
Brian DeWine who is now President of the Colorado Rockies' Class A affiliate.
Tyler Brown moves into the position of Athletics
Communications Assistant. Brown is beginning his senior year this fall and made
his impact on campus as Editor of The Echo and serving as the "Voice of Lady
Mocs" softball. He has been invaluable as a student worker in the athletics
communications office during his three years at UTC.
