CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf
team may be off for the summer, but it is certainly not away from the course.
Here is an update on the ladies' play since departing for home in May:
Marion Duvernay posts two top 10's
Rising junior Marion Duvernay (Publier, France) captured
two top 10's since returning home following the NCAA East Regional. It started
with a tie for seventh at the Leman Championship in Switzerland. More recently,
she ended up third in the Coupe Cachard in France. Played at the GP of St.
Cloud, Duvernay overcame an opening round 82 to shoot three-under par the final
36 holes.
Her second round 68 (-3) was the round of the tournament.
She closed with a level-par 71. Duvernay was 12 shots off the lead tied for
17th after 18 holes and closed to within six at the end for third.
Mette Kryger has two top 10's as well in
Denmark
Rising sophomore Mette Kryger (Nivaa, Denmark) has been
active in her homeland of Denmark. She has played three times since completing
her freshman season at the NCAA East Regional.
Kryger has two seventh-place finishes and a 12th in her
three starts. Her seventh-place endings came at the Team Rudersdal Ladies Open
at Fureso Golf Club in Birkerod and the Wiibroe Cup at Helsingor Golf Club in
Helsingor. Those two events sandwiched her 12th-place finish at the Danish Golf
Union's Elite Tour Damer II.
Emily McLennan joins the Mocs in August
Incoming freshman Emily McLennan (Queensland, Australia)
wound up 12th in her latest tournament, the South Pacific Masters. The event
was played at Surfers Paradise Golf Club in Surfers Paradise, Queensland,
Australia.
It was ninth event of 2012 for the junior with only one
of the nine being a junior event. She has acquitted herself quite well against
the continent's top amateurs. She finished tied for 15th at the prestigious
