Fans Come Out for Meet the Mocs
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department held its annual Meet the Mocs presented by Blood Assurance today.  The Mocs moved the event into the open-air First Tennessee Pavilion at Finley Stadium and enjoyed a large crowd.

Nearly 300 fans came for photos and autographs with many of the UTC teams, cheerleaders and Sugar Mocs.  Posters, schedule cards and football season tickets were all available today.  Dozens of attendees also got a free "I Bleed Blue & Gold" T-shirt for giving blood in the Blood Assurance Vein Voyager.

The football team took the field for a full practice following the autographic session.  UTC is two weeks away from the opening kickoff at South Florida.  The Mocs open against the Bulls on Saturday, Sept. 1, at 7:00 p.m. (E.D.T.).  Season tickets are on sale now with the home opener set for Thursday, Sept. 13, against Glenville State at 7:00 p.m.

Soccer is back on the field on Sunday, Aug. 19, against Tennessee Tech at 1:00 p.m.  The Lady Mocs posted a 6-0 win over Tennessee Temple in their first game of the season on Friday.  Volleyball starts next weekend, hosting the Country Inns & Suites Invitational at Maclellan Gym.
