Lady Mocs Wrap Up Action at Auburn Invitational
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Auburn Invitational.  The Lady Mocs won seven of their eight doubles matches and competed well in singles play today. 

"Overall we felt like we had a solid weekend," stated head coach Jeff Clark.  "It was really important to get a lot of matches in and I think our young team saw some good competition."

Sophomore Kaylene Chadwell (Franklin, Tenn.) and freshman Kayla Jones (Memphis, Tenn.) finished second in the Flight 1 Doubles.  They dropped the championship match 8-4 to Auburn's Jennifer Pfeiffer and Jackie Kasler. 

Junior Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) and sophomore Claire Mulyadi (Semarang, Indonesia) won two doubles matches to take the consolation bracket and finish fifth in the Flight 2.  Senior Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.) and freshman Kelsey Coots (Huntsville, Ala.)  also won the consolation draw in the Flight 3 doubles as did freshman Jovana Peckovsji (Apitan, Serbia) and Allison Storie (Johnson City, Tenn.) in Flight 4. 

Storie also collected a third place finish in the Flight 8 Singles.  She defeated Louisiana-Lafayette's Hannah Appleyard 6-4, 6-3 today.  Fellow freshman Katie Polk (Woodstock,Ga.) was also third in the Fight 6 singles.  She posted a (7-6 (8), 6-3) win over Lamar's Helene Czudek. 

Chadwell and Pecovski placed fourth in Fight 2 and Flight 7, respectively.  Jones won the backdraw and took fifth place in Flight 5.

UTC is back in action on Sept. 28-30, hosting the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic.  Action takes place at the Champions Club in Chattanooga.
