by three while out-distancing the Tigers by 14.

UTC was +2 for 52 of its 54 holes for the weekend...shot
+9 on 17 and 18 finishing the opening round.
- The Mocs captured eight strong wins this week in a stacked field...beat Tennessee by two, UNF (a top 10 team in 2011-12) by four, South Carolina and Georgia Tech by nine and Auburn by 15 among others...went 3-3 against SEC and 2-2 against SEC.

Front Nine (Counters by Round): +7 (-1/+1/+7)...Steven
Fox was E for the front side today...Liam Johnston was low for tourney at -2...eight
of his 12 birdies came on holes 1-9.

Back Nine: +4 (+5/-3/+2)...Johnston paced the back
nine effort at -1 today...he and Fox were level par for the weekend.

Johnston had quite a tournament for the Mocs...he set
a new career-best shooting two-under par (214) over 54 holes...previous high was
+4 (220) at last year's SoCon Championship (Ralston Creek Course, Daniel
Island, S.C.)...also tied his low 18 of 70 in each of the first two rounds...-5
over 53 holes with triple-bogey seven today on No. 4 was a touch of bad luck as
his ball was out of bounds by inches.
