PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. --- Jordan Britt (Chattanooga) and Emily McLennan (Queensland, Australia) fired career-low rounds leading the Chattanooga Mocs to third-place at the Web.com Intercollegiate. The Mocs opened with a six-under par 282 and ended today’s 36 holes at 577 (+1).

The 282 is the second-best round in school history behind 278 (-10) to complete the 2011 JMU Eagle Landing Invitational win. The 577 through 36 holes is a new school best.

Britt and McLennan also turned in personal lows today. Britt’s 67 on her opening card is her career best and one off Christine Wolf’s (2008-11) school mark. Her seven-under 36-hole total of 137 is also a new team record.

McLennan is just two behind Britt at minus five (139). She also turned in a career-low round with a 68 (-4) in the first round and her low 36-hole total (139) which is second only to Britt in the school’s record book.

The squad’s 577 is third behind Florida State (568) and East Carolina (575). The Mocs are three clear of No. 17 UCF and Minnesota in fourth and five ahead of No. 24 Ohio State in sixth.

FSU’s Matilda Castren is in first at nine-under (135). That’s two ahead of Britt and Juliet Vongphourny (Maryland) in second at -7. McLennan and James Madison’s Shabril Brewer are tied for fourth at -5.

Isabella Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) shot 74 and 76, while Agathe Sauzon (Valence, France) turned in 73 and 78 to round out the counting cards. Porsche Campbell (Vancouver, Canada) matched Sauzon in round two.

The Mocs are paired with Florida State, East Carolina and Minnesota for Tuesday’s final 18. The round is a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Click the links above for tee times and live scoring.
