NOTES | LIVE SCORING | TEE TIMES

HUTCHINSON, Kan.--- Chris Robb (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) battled the course, battled the elements and even battled his putter Sunday at the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship. The Scot shot 75 (+5) in round two and was -1 through seven holes of the final round.

Weather was chaotic again today. There was a delay for lightning of nearly two hours during round two. The final 18 was suspended until 8:30 a.m., Eastern time Monday, after seven holes of the shotgun start were complete.

Robb’s 75 included 35 putts. It wasn’t a matter of bad putts as he burned the edge throughout the round, but he just couldn’t find the cup as often as he needed.

“First round started off OK with a few clutch pars,” Robb stated. “But I finished pretty rough. I didn’t make as many putts as I should have, a lot of putts missed that should have gone in.”

The senior hit 14 of 19 fairways and 17 of 25 greens today.

“I put too much pressure on my putting,” he continued. “I didn’t hit the ball great, I missed too many greens. I hit some good putts…they just kept lipping out and not going in.”

He shook off the tough 18 to get things started on his final round. He parred his first three holes before back-to-back birdies on five and six. A bogey on eight dropped him to -1 for the round. He is in the fairway on nine when play resumes on Monday.

Robb is tied for 62nd at +3. Live scoring is linked above. Follow Chris there as he looks to march back up the leaderboard.
