CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- After a long road trip to tip off the 2008-09 season, the Chattanooga men's basketball team is set to host its first home game of the season as the Mocs take on Tennessee Temple Saturday night.
The Mocs (0-5) are coming off a season-long 10-day road trip where the team played five games, three of which came against teams that were ranked.
Chattanooga will turn to seniors
Nicchaeus Doaks and
Stephen McDowell as the Mocs look to notch its first victory of the season. Doaks currently leads the team in points and (15.2) and rebounds (11.6) per game, while McDowell is second on the team with 14.4 points per contest.
The Crusaders of Tennessee Temple (1-7) enter Saturday's contest currently on a seven game losing streak after winning its season opener 77-69 over Covenant College.
All-time the Mocs are 6-0 against Tennessee Temple with the last victory coming during the 1984-85 season.
Saturday's contest will mark the 27th home opener in the McKenzie Arena for the Mocs, who have amassed a 23-3 record during that stretch.
Tip off for the contest is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from the McKenzie Arena.
