The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s tennis team hosts Davidson in Southern Conference action this weekend. Match time is set for 10:00 a.m. (E.D.T.) on Saturday, March 30, at the UTC Tennis Courts.
The Lady Mocs have won four of their last five matches and are 13-3 overall. UTC is looking to improve on its 3-3 mark in conference play after going 2-1 last week. The Lady Mocs shut out Murray State 7-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday, before splitting with Wofford (6-1) and Furman (3-4) over the weekend.
Davidson brings a 7-6 overall mark and is 0-4 in league play. The Wildcats face Samford on Friday before making the trip to the Scenic City. Davidson’s four league losses were against Georgia Southern (1-6), Elon (0-7), College of Charleston (0-7) and UNCG (1-6).

Davidson has won eight of the last 11 meetings in the series, but the Lady Mocs have taken the last two matches. UTC posted a 6-1 victory in last year’s meeting.
Freshman Kelsey Coots (Huntsville, Ala.) is riding a five-match winning streak and is 7-0 at No. 5 this spring. She has a 12-3 spring singles record and is 20-6 overall.
Freshman Kayla Jones (Memphis, Tenn.) leads the team with her 14-2 mark in the spring. She is 25-4 overall and 11-2 at No. 3.
Coots and Flynn have teamed up to win four-straight doubles matches. They are 4-0 as a tandem, all at No. 2.
