The Mocs fell to host Gardner-Webb in game two of the Border Classic Friday evening by a 3-0 margin. Senior Taylor Mangrum got the start in net and played the entire 90 minutes making six saves. Chattanooga is 2-3 on the year and looking to even its record against South Carolina State. Junior Crystal Mackezyk leads the team in scoring with three goals and one assist for seven points. Sophomore Hannah Wyatt is second on the team in scoring with two goals and a team-high two assists. Freshman Monica Speth has a team-best two assists with five shots on the year, three on goal.

SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
HEAD COACH: SANDY BURRIS
The Bulldogs are 3-5-1 on the year with wins over Alabama A&M (5-0), Presbyterian (2-1) and Gardner-Webb (2-0). Kaitlyn Cortez has a team-high three assists and leads SCS with seven points while Janell Cash leads the team with three goals. Dominique Brown has two goals while five more Bulldogs have contributed to the scoring. Haley Austin has started all nine games in goal and has made 50 saves while giving up 13 goals. She has a 1.39 goals against average and a .794 saves percentage.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET …
Chattanooga and South Carolina State last met in 2004 at Finley Stadium. The Mocs posted a 13-0 win with 11 first half goals. Megan Chismark recorded five assists in the game – second most in NCAA history – and had one goal. Her seven points in the game was second most in school history. Elfa Erlingsdottir netted a hat trick in the game, tied for the second most goals scored in a game, and all-time leading scorer Diana Jallo scored twice with one assist.
