Anne Jay has been with the University and Chattanooga athletics department since May 1993. The first 11 years she provided administrative support for the football program and assisted head coaches Tommy West, Buddy Green, Donnie Kirkpatrick and Rodney Allison. She also assisted the track, cross country, and tennis programs during these years.
In 2003, she became administrative assistant to the Senior Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator, Laura Herron. She currently is administrative assistant to Herron, in addition to student support services, compliance, softball and wrestling. She has also worked part-time at Blood Assurance as a recruiter since 1999.
The Nashville, Tenn., native graduated from Overton High School and attended Lipscomb University. She is involved as an advisor for the local and state Junior Chamber of Commerce organization. In her time as an active member, she served as local chapter president, district director over the Nashville area chapters, children’s program director for the 1979 national convention held in Nashville and was assistant to the chairperson for the 2000 national Jaycee convention which was held in Chattanooga.
The former Anne Evans is married to Josh Jay, who is employed at Unum. They have a daughter, Dana, and one grandson, Joshua.
