Over the summer, the Mocs athletic training staff expanded with the addition of Dave Snyder as the Senior Athletic Trainer. He takes over as the head football trainer following the promotion of head athletic trainer Todd Bullard.

Prior to his arrival at UTC, Dave worked as the assistant football athletic trainer for the University of Kansas. During his tenure, the JayHawks won the 2007 Orange Bowl and the 2008 InSight Bowl.

He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science. While a student at Georgia, he assisted with the football, baseball and volleyball teams and was on the sidelines working with the Bulldogs at the 2001 Music City Bowl. In the summer of 2002, Dave completed an internship with the Indianapolis Colts.

At The Citadel, Dave earned his Masters in Exercise Science and Sports Science, graduating in 2005. He was a resident assistant with the football team. Following his graduation he began a 12-month internship with the 2005 NFC South Division Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dave was born in Memphis but grew up in Ocilla, Ga., where he wrestled and ran cross country for Irwin County High School. He is a certified Athletic Trainer by the NATABOC and holds a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist by the NASM.
