- Chattanooga went wire-to-wire winning 81-72 at Western Carolina in Southern Conference North Division play...UTC is now 13-17, 8-9 in the league, while the Catamounts are 12-18, 8-9.

- Mocs are 58-22 all-time against Western including 47-19 in regular-season conference play...19-18 in Cullowhee.

- Head Coach John Shulman is 145-144 in his ninth season...10-8 vs. WCU, 3-6 on the road.

- SoCon Championship seeding implications from tonight's action...Chattanooga is one step closer to the final bye for the upcoming SoCon Championship...Samford lost at Appalachian State...current standings for that final day off: Samford 9-8, App State 9-8, UTC 8-9, WCU 8-9...if Mocs win at App Saturday and Western tops Samford, Chattanooga wins tiebreaker with two or more teams tied at 9-9 for No. 4 seed.

- UTC held the Catamounts without a point for the first 7:08 of the game...started off with 12-0 run.

- The Mocs shot 54.2 percent (26-48) from the field, 37.5 percent (3-8) from three-point range and 66.7 percent (26-39) from the free throw line.

- Chattanooga's 26 free throws made is a season high against a DI opponent...the two teams combined for 64 attempts at the charity stripe.

- Western Carolina kept it close by grabbing 19 offensive rebounds...easily a season high against the Mocs...scored 15 second chance points compared to 16 for the good guys.

- 19 points on 5-7 FG, 2-3 3pt and 7-8 FT.
- 13th game with 10 or more this season, 18th career.
- 19 points ties his high in SoCon play (The Citadel - 2/7).

Freshman Guard Gee McGhee
- 11th game in a row with 12 or more points getting it on the number tonight with 12.
- Tied career high with four steals
