SOCON TOURNEY SEEDING SCENARIOS
The end of the regular season is shaping into a wild ride. Three teams - Chattanooga, Appalachian State and Samford - have a shot at the final Southern Conference Tournament first round bye. It is even crazier considering the Mocs could be seeded anywhere from No. 4 to No. 8 depending on Saturday's final games. The top three seeds are set: No. 1 Davidson, No. 2 Elon and No. 3 College of Charleston. For the Mocs to claim the four seed (bye), they need to beat App State and Samford lose at Western Carolina. UTC is the five seed with a win over App and Western loss to the Bulldogs. Chattanooga is the six seed if App and Samford claim wins. It is the seven seed if App and Western win and Davidson beats Georgia Southern. It falls to No. 8 if App and Western win and GSU beats the Wildcats. In other words, anarchy.

MURRAY ARNOLD
The Chattanooga Mocs lost a legend on Nov. 14, 2012 as former Head Coach Murray Arnold passed away in Florida. He laid the DI championship foundation coaching for six years, 1980-85, with a 135-46 record. He coached collegiately at four institutions (Birmingham Southern, Western Kentucky and Stetson) amassing a 420-229 mark in 22 seasons. The Mocs captured four SoCon Championships in six UTC campaigns advancing to three NCAA Tournaments and two NITs reaching the Elite 8 (NIT) in 1985 and narrowly missing the NCAA Sweet 16 in 1982.
