Rob returned to the Scenic City in August of 2013 as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance. The Chattanooga native oversees all aspects of compliance to NCAA, Southern Conference and university rules for the athletics department.

He and his staff monitor all recruiting activities in the 17-sport program along with providing rules education and interpretations for coaching and athletic staff members. His office also tracks initial eligibility, financial aid and roster management for all student-athletes.

Robinson comes home from the University of Oklahoma where he served as a compliance coordinator. There he aided in all areas of compliance while serving as oversight of social networking/message boards/media, promotional item and appearance requests, playing/practice seasons, team travel and the student-athlete complimentary ticket process. He also coordinated registration and monitoring of athlete/agent policy and student employment.

He began his career as an intern at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee. Robinson aided in a number of roles within the department while completing his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the College of Law in May 2012. He also got his undergraduate degree in Knoxville in Business Administration (2008).

Robinson prepped at the Baylor School in Chattanooga. He has been involved in numerous charitable causes including currently serving as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House and aids in fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
