The Chattanooga Mocs had a solid opening day at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in Knoxville, Tenn. Both doubles teams advanced to the second round and three Mocs are in the second round of singles action.
Sophomore’s John Peacey (Emerald, Australia) and Luke Saunders (Halifax, Nova Scotia) opened with an 8-7 win over Dayton’s Andy Druffel and Drew Hanley in the first round. Senior Jorge Varon (Valencia, Venezuela) and junior Pavels Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia) matched that with an 8-6 victory over Adam Krull and Micahel Moe of Xavier.
