NCAA Division I Football Championship Game Sold Out

City and University officials announced Monday that the 2007 NCAA Division I Football National Championship Game is sold out.

The game, which pits two-time defending National Champion Appalachian State and 2003 Champion Delaware, is set to kick off Friday at 8 p.m. at Chattanooga's Finley Stadium.

The stadium capacity is 20,668, however, last year's game drew a record-crowd of 22,808, including standing-room-only patrons.

Both teams had sold their entire ticket allotment by Monday morning, while local football fans had already gobbled up over 11,000 tickets prior to the matchup being set.

The game will be nationally televised by ESPN2.
