CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs, ranked No. 12 in the Golfweek preseason rankings, cruised to the 2008 Aldila Scenic City Invitational at Council Fire Golf Club winning by 14 shots carding a record final round of 266, 22-under par.  Augusta State claimed second place with a sparkling round of its own for the final 18, 275 (-13), in the event co-hosted by Chattanooga and Middle Tennessee.

Southeastern Louisiana’s Matt Carvell followed up his opening round 60 (-12) with rounds of 70 and 68 to walk away with medalist honors.  His three-day total of 198 (-18) is also a tournament record.
