FARRAGUT, Tenn. - Playing in the second day at the Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship, the 17th-ranked University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's golf team fell to sixth place shooting a 602 (+26) at Fox Den Country Club. Junior Emma de Groot once again had the low round of the day for the Lady Mocs with an even par (72), good enough for a sixth-place tie at 145 (+1).

The hosts No. 18 Tennessee dropped back to the field with a three-over par (291) round to hold an eight stroke lead over No. 17 Louisville after shooting a two-under par (574). No. 24 South Carolina at 592 (+16), Kent State at 592 (+16) and No. 12 Florida at 599 (+23) round out the top five teams. The Lady Mocs are sixth with a 602 (+26), while Ole Miss, Notre Dame and LSU are all within three strokes.

Individually, the squad has been consistent with de Groot leading the way, but sitting tied for 29th are Maria Salinas and Kayla Stewart shooting the same scores, 74 77, both days totaling a 151 (+7). Two more Lady Mocs are 60th overall at 156 (+12) with junior Christine Wolf rebounding with a 76 after an 80 and sophomore Maria Julian Loza carding a 77, two strokes better than yesterday's performance.

Louisville's Sara-Maude Juneau recorded a round best 69 to take over the lead at 141 (-3), while the Lady Vols Nathalie Mansson and the Cardinals are tied for second at 142 (-2).

Chattanooga tees off tomorrow at 9:45 a.m. from the first tee trying to crack the top five of the prestigious tournament.
