Chattanooga senior forward Shanara Hollinquest's efforts on the court received recognition when Full Court Press named her a Top-25 Mid Major player Monday afternoon.

Hollinquest is the reigning Southern Conference Player of the Year and led the league in scoring (16.5) and field goal percentage (51.3) last season and was second in rebounding with 8.0 boards per game. The 6-foot forward exceeded her already considerable scoring and rebounding average in each of her three games against major conference foes, going for 17 points and 11 rebounds against Tennessee, 24 and nine against Clemson and 28 and 13 in an overtime loss to Kentucky in the WNIT. This season the Lady Mocs will play Georgia (11/19), Kentucky (11/22) and Clemson (12/12).

The Lady Mocs, winners of 10 consecutive SoCon regular season titles, will open the season on the road at former SoCon rival East Tennessee State on Nov. 13 in Johnson City, Tenn.
