The Phoenix tied for the 2011 SoCon Regular season title, but are 4-6 overall and 1-0 in league play this season. Chattanooga is looking to snap an eight match losing streak to Elon. UTC's last win in the series was a 4-3 victory in 2005. The Mocs narrowly missed pulling off an upset last year with a tight 4-3 loss at the UTC Tennis Courts.

UNCG has won the last four matches in the series. The Mocs' last win against the Spartans was a 5-2 victory in 2007. They are currently 5-6 and 2-0 in SoCon action.
Chattanooga is off to its best start since 2008 with an 8-2 record. The Mocs have won six straight and have already tied last year's win total.
Junior Jackson Tresnan (Apopka, Fla.) leads the team with a 9-1 singles mark, all in spring action. He is 7-0 at the No. 5 position and has won nine-straight. His nine-match winning streak is the longest since current assistant coach Peter Sauska won 11 straight in 2007.
Fellow junior Roberto Vieira (Bedfordview, South Africa) is 11-7 overall and holds down the No. 1 slot where he is 7-3. His 11 singles wins are the most on the team.
Junior Chris Smith (Johnson City, Tenn.) is No. 2 in the lineup where he is 7-2. Junior Ankit Chopra (Chandigrah, India) is 4-4 at No. 3 while fellow junior Manuel Barroetavena (Buenos Aires, Argentina) is 5-2 since entering the lineup at No. 4. Freshman Pavels Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia) is solidifying his role at No. 6 where he is 4-2 this spring.
The doubles lineup includes Chopra and Smith at No. 1, Vieira and Barroetavena at No. 2 and Grigorjevs and Tresnan at No. 3. The Mocs have won the doubles point in four straight matches.
