Tresnan Named SoCon Player of the Month
Junior Jackson Tresnan
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga junior Jackson Tresnan was named the Southern Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Month for February, the league office announced today.  Tresnan is one of the key pieces to the Mocs 9-3 start (1-1 SoCon), their best since the 2008 season.

Tresnan, a native of Apopka, Fla, began the spring season by winning all five of his singles matches during the month of February while tallying a 3-1 ledger in doubles play. Playing mainly at the number five spot for the Mocs, he earned straight-set victories over Belmont's Fernando Mussolini, Gardner-Webb's Joao Poli, and North Alabama's Alexey Kavalenka. He also picked up three-set wins against Miguel Cortez of Lipscomb (7-5, 1-6, 1-0 (10-3)) and Gokalp Ozdemir of Kennesaw State (6-3, 6-7 (9-11), 7-6 (10-6)).

In doubles, Tresnan teamed with Pavels Grigorjevs at the number three slot to go 3-1 during the month.  He is 10-2 overall and 8-1 at No. 5 in singles.  His doubles tally sits at 6-4, all at No. 3.

The Mocs are back in action on Thursday, March 15, against Georgia Southern at the UTC Tennis Courts.  First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) and a link for live scoring is available on the men's tennis schedule page on
