The Mocs are one of 14 teams in action this weekend. The list includes Tennessee, Chattanooga, Alcorn State, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Louisville, Penn State, USC Upstate, Southern Miss, Tennessee Tech, Western Michigan, Winthrop, Wright State and Xavier.
The tournament runs from Friday to Sunday Oct. 12-14 with three singles draws of 32 and six doubles draws of eight. Chattanooga will be sending all eight members of the 2012-13 team to play this weekend. Matches will be held on the Vols' home courts at Barksdale Stadium and the nearby courts at Tyson Park.
Seniors Manuel Barroetavena (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Jackson Tresnan (Apopka, Fla.) will be teaming up for doubles alongside Roberto Vieira (Bedfordview, South Africa) and Chris Smith (Johnson City, Tenn.). Seniors Stephen Crofford (Franklin, Tenn.) and Ankit Chopra (Chandigrah, India) will be playing together for the second tournament in a row and senior William Disterdick (Soddy Daisy, Tenn.) and sophomore Pavels Grigorjevs (Riga, Latvia) will be paired up coming off their tournament win at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic.
"I am anxious to get back on the court and see how much we have improved of the last two weeks," stated head coach Carlos Garcia. "I think we have a good team and our best tennis is definitely ahead of us. I will be looking for some improvement from our guys and hopefully we can keep moving forward."

Chattanooga is coming off a 14-9 campaign that included a 4-6 mark in Southern Conference action. It was the most wins for the program since 2007. The Mocs return their top eight players and have seven seniors on the roster.
