As the countdown to kickoff of the 2013 college football season continues, the Chattanooga Mocs highlight the game-by-game promotions for this season’s home games. With six contests in Finley Stadium on the slate, fans are in for thousands of giveaways, new and exciting gameday themes and plenty of tailgating events to keep them entertained.
The Mocs weekly highlight of each game’s promotional efforts continues with the October 26 contest vs. The Citadel. This game is featured as Breast Cancer Awareness Day, Band Day and the 2013 Wresting Blue and Gold Match in the First Tennessee Pavilion.
On gameday, the Mocs are encouraging fans to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. There will be special pink giveaways prior to the Mocs kickoff. In addition to fans wearing pink to support breast cancer awareness, there will be a special recognition for breast cancer survivors throughout the day.
In addition to Breast Cancer Awareness Day, the Marching Mocs are hosting Band Day. Local band students from the Chattanooga area have the opportunity to play with the Marching Mocs in the stands as well as perform at half time. For more information on Band Day, e-mail Assistant Director of Bands, Erika Schafer, at Erika-Schafer@utc.edu.
For the 2nd year in a row, the Chattanooga Wrestling team hosts its annual Blue & Gold Wrestling Match in the First Tennessee Pavilion prior to kickoff. The Mat Mocs compete against each other in each weight class and provide fans with a unique opportunity to see the 2013 Southern Conference Champions in action.
To avoid lines on game days, fans are encouraged to use the #GoMocs promotional code on the GoMocs.com ticket page for $13 print-at-home general admission tickets during the 2013 season. (Regularly $15 at the gate)
Make sure to keep up with the Mocs on Social Media for the Countdown to Kickoff. We’ll be tweeting and posting facts, figures and reminders up until the season-opening kickoff.
