The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mocs Club is welcoming renewals for the 2014-15 season beginning this week. Coinciding with the renewal kickoff is the introduction of a new look for the Mocs Club.
UTC Athletics is focusing its branding efforts on the “Power C” logo. As a result, the Mocs Club is putting the “Power C” front and center in all of its efforts. Attached to this release is the updated Mocs Club logo that presents a dynamic, new representation of the department’s annual fund.
The new logo incorporates the rich traditions of our University’s athletics programs, while also allowing the identity of the Mocs Club to evolve. With the recent and future successes of our 17 Division I teams, it is important for the Mocs Club to have a presence in the community that is consistent with the championship reputation of UTC Athletics.
“I really like the ‘Power C’ logo,” stated UTC Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics David Blackburn. “I like the way it stands out, its unique appearance and that everyone knows it stands for Chattanooga. I thought it was imperative to incorporate that mark with the Mocs Club, and tie in our branding efforts to one of the most important pieces of our Athletics Department.”
Current members should check their email this week for renewal information. Anyone who renews prior to July 1 will be entered into a drawing for a VIP experience at the Mocs vs. Tennessee football game on Oct. 11, 2014 in Knoxville, Tenn. Members who increase their support to the next level of giving will receive 50 Mocs Club priority points as a token of our appreciation.
The Mocs Club is the annual fundraising arm for the UTC Athletics Department. Support from each Mocs Club member benefits more than 300 UTC student-athletes. Currently, over 750 members commit themselves to help offset the rising educational costs for the UTC Athletics Department.
