The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department is set to host the 15th annual Porky’s Open, presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, on Tuesday, May 6, at the Council Fire Golf Club. The Porky’s Open is the premier golf event in Chattanooga and has raised well over $1 million for student-athlete scholarships at UTC.
Hosted by the Mocs Club, the Porky’s Open features four-person teams for a select-shot golf tournament, lunch provided by Porkers BBQ, a 19th hole reception and appearances from UTC student-athletes and coaches.
Registration and the driving range open at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. The tournament tees off with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Immediately following the round of golf is the 19th Hole Mocs Scholarship Auction and Reception. Come bid on an array of items, while enjoying food, beverages and prizes from the golf tournament.
The cost for the event is $300 per player with full information available on the attached brochure. Space is limited so be sure to register today. Admission to the 19th Hole Mocs Scholarship Auction and Reception is $10 for any non-golfing guest or supporter and affiliation with a team is not required.
