NCAA Championship Notes - Round 2&3 - May 25, 2014

MOCS MEN’S GOLF NOTEBOOK
NCAA Championship | Prairie Dunes C.C. | Hutchinson, Kan. | Round 2 & 3 | May 25, 2014

WEATHER REMAINS A FACTOR
Robb’s opening day Friday consisted of three holes due to more than eight hours of weather delays. He got in his final 18 Saturday, while the afternoon wave got in 36 holes in some cases to get the field back on track a bit. Storms returned Sunday morning delaying play nearly one hour and 40 minutes, after four-plus holes for his group. It then returned during the late 18 and suspended the round for the evening after eight holes with Robb at -1.

BIRDIE NOTE
Chris tallied his 100th birdie on the par four fifth hole. He is just the 15th Mocs to reach the century mark for birdies in a season. His previous high of 92 was recorded in 2011-12.

PAR FOR THE COURSE
Robb has always proved to be a steady performer. He reached 1,497 pars through his seven holes in the final round. Seems like a pretty good bet to top 1,500. He surpassed 400 in a season in yesterday’s opening round.

QUICK HITS
- -6 over his last 187 holes (10+ rounds).

- Streak of 135 consecutive holes without a score higher than a bogey ended with a double bogey on the par 5 17th due to a lost ball on his second shot trying to reach the green in two.
- Played 25 holes today.
