Anneli enters her fourth season as the assistant coach for the cross country and track and field teams.

She was a nine-time all-conference performer for the Lady Mocs with a pair of top 10 finishes in the women’s 5-kilometer cross country races.

The four-time Southern Conference Outdoor Track champion in the 800 meter (twice) and 1500 meter (twice) was named the 2010 SoCon Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year after winning both. She qualified in her junior year for both events after winning each. However, the NCAA reformatted qualification standards for the region meet by dropping the number of meets from four to just two – East and West – and eliminating automatic qualifiers. Based on her time in the 1500 meter event, Uys earned a spot at the East Region meet her senior year. She also holds the school record for the outdoor track 800 meter run with a time of 2:08.99 clocked in the prelims of the event in 2009 at the league championships.

In Indoor Track, Uys was a three-time all-conference performer with a third place finish in the Mile and twice with the school’s Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team. In her senior year, she led the team from eighth place all the way to a second place and all-conference finish as the anchor of the DMR.

She was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and was a member of the Southern Conference All-Academic Teams. She was a member of the Dean’s List while at UTC and named to the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll.

Uys transferred from Memphis to Chattanooga after her sophomore year.

She was born in Pretoria, South Africa and moved to Australia where she became an Australian citizen. She is married to Thomas Morrison.
