Members of the UTC Athletics Department, including the Mocs football team, will be on hand, urging potential donors to participate, Monday thru Wednesday in the Tennessee Room of the UTC University Center.
The event is open to the general public on Monday, March 4, noon-6 p.m.. UTC students, faculty and staff are invited on Monday, Tuesday, March 5, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Wednesday, March 6, 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
Partnered with The Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation, the Be the Match registry is the world's largest hematopoietic cell registry that pairs stem cell donors with patients suffering from blood cancers.
Andy Talley is the head football coach at Villanova and has worked with over 30 football programs across the country to sponsor registry drives. This is the second year the Mocs have helped organize and promote the event.
