Chattanooga’s student-athletes continued a tradition of helping fellow students with today’s Operation Move-In across campus.  The Mocs were on hand to carry boxes, bags, suitcases and whatever else the Class of 2018 brought to the dorms today.

Freshman move-in day can be stressful, but the football, wrestling and volleyball teams made short work of the unloading duties at Johnson-Obear and Boling dorms.  Be sure to check out the attached video and photos from today’s move in.

Today is the first day of the first year of college for the freshmen.  The upperclassmen are expected to move back this weekend and the first day of the fall semester is Monday.

Chattanooga football opens its 2014 home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 6.  The 14th-ranked Mocs host No. 6 Jacksonville State at 6:00 p.m.  Season tickets are on sale now on GoMocs.com or by calling the UTC Ticket Office at (423) 266-MOCS (6627).

The soccer team’s home opener is Friday, Aug. 29 against Tennessee Temple in Finley Stadium.  The volleyball team’s first home game is Tuesday, Sept. 2 against Kennesaw State in Maclellan Gym, while the Cross Country team hosts the Powerade Invitational on Friday, Sept. 5 at Moccasin Bend.
