"Read Across America" is a reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
This year, representatives from the Mocs football, women's tennis and volleyball teams all took part in the event in elementary schools throughout the Chattanooga area. They went out to the schools on Friday, March 2, and spent the day reading to area youth.
Members of the men's tennis team also recently visited the local VA Outpatient Clinic. They spent the afternoon visiting with veterans and thanking them for their years of service to our country.
Be sure to check out the photo gallery at the top of the page from this year's "Read Across America" and the visit to the VA hospital.
If you have an upcoming event you would like to have a member of Mocs Athletics participate in, check out our Appearance & Request Forms page on GoMocs.com.
