LADY MOCS START THREE-GAME ROAD STINT AT DAVIDSON FRIDAY

The Lady Mocs will start a three-game road swing Friday night at Davidson. The Wildcats (8-7, 5-0) lead the Southern Conference. The game will be played at Belk Arena and is set to tip off at 7 p.m. Listen live at ESPN 105.1 FM. Pregame show begins at 6:40 p.m.

SCOUTING THE LADY MOCS
The Lady Mocs (12-3) are one of three teams sitting in second place in the Southern Conference with a 5-1 mark, behind league-leading Davidson (5-0). Chattanooga has a league-best 14.7 scoring margin and is second in the league in both scoring offense (70.4) and scoring defense (55.7). From the field, the Lady Mocs are shooting 41.3 percent and 29.7 percent from the 3-point arc. At the free throw line, UTC is ranked ninth in the SoCon making just 64.9 percent of its attempts and second for assists with 15.6 per game.

On the boards, Chattanooga is ranked second in the conference with 41.7 rebounds per game while giving up 38.5 to its opponents. The Lady Mocs are averaging 10.3 steals per game, third in the SoCon standings, and eighth for blocked shots with 2.6 per game. UTC tops the league in both turnover margin (+5.20) and assist-turnover ratio (1.1) and is ranked second for 3-point shooting making 6.6 per game.

Junior Ashlen Dewart (Spartanburg, S.C.) is ranked first in the league in field goal percentage (52.3), second for points per game at 16.7 and 11th for rebounding with 6.5 per game. Senior Kayla Christopher (Oliver Springs, Tenn.) is second on the team in scoring with 12.5 points per game and leads the Lady Mocs from beyond the 3-point line with 34 on the year (2.3/game). She is third in 3-point field goal percentage (.430) and is sixth for field goal percentage (.467). She ranks eighth for assists averaging 2.9 per game. Senior Kylie Lambert (Etowah, Tenn.) has pulled down 10 rebounds in each of the last two games and leads the Lady Mocs with 6.7 boards per game. Junior Taylor Hall (New Tazewell, Tenn.) is third on the team in scoring (9.7) and has posted back-to-back double digit games in Chattanooga's last two wins. She ranks 16th in the league for rebounding with 5.7 per game and leads the team with 27 steals on the year.


SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Davidson (8-7) leads the Southern Conference with a perfect 5-0 mark. After back-to-back losses at Charlotte (69-54) and Tennessee (75-40), the Wildcats posted four straight league wins beginning with Appalachian State (65-49) at home. From there, the Wildcats hit the road for wins over College of Charleston (65-57), Wofford (58-45) and Furman (87-46). Davidson is ranked fifth in the SoCon in scoring with 57.2 points per game after posting a season-high 87 points in its win over Furman. The Wildcats are fourth in the league with a 0.9 scoring margin and shoot .387 from the floor and .323 from the 3-point line. At the charity stripe, Davidson is third in the league making 70.6 percent.

On the boards, Davidson is sixth in the league with 37.9 rebounds per game while giving up 39.4 to its opponents. Led by Sophia Aleksandravicius, the Wildcats are second in the SoCon for blocked shots with 4.6 per game and fourth in steals with 10.1 per game. Davidson is on the negative side of its turnover margin giving up 1.73 more mistakes to its opponents (20.5-18.7) and has a 0.7 assist-turnover ratio.

Aleksandravicius leads the Wildcats with 14.2 points per game, is second for rebounding with 10.0 per game and leads the SoCon for blocked shots with 3.1 per game. Laura Murray is second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game and ninth in the SoCon for assists with 2.8 per game. Hannah Early is fourth in the league for 3-point shooting making 41.7 percent. Barbara Sitton has a team-high 2.7 steals per game and a 1.1 assist-turnover ratio.


SERIES HISTORY
The two teams have met 38 times since the Wildcats joined the Southern Conference in 1994. UTC holds a 30-8 advantage over Davidson with the Lady Mocs winning 25 of the last 27 games. However, the Wildcats have won two of the last seven including last year's matchup at Belk Arena by a 56-52 margin. On the road, Chattanooga leads the series 14-6 and Head Coach Wes Moore's record against Davidson is 26-3.
