Chattanooga at Furman

Head Coach Wes Moore
Thoughts on the game:
"It was a team effort. Meghan Downes made some big plays in the first half. Kayla Christopher hit some big shots down the stretch, including a couple of big free throws. Ka'Vonne Towns, two big threes and then she went and got that last rebound to ice the game. A lot of people did good things. Ashlen, when we had her in there, did a great job. The bright side is she ought to be well rested when we play on Monday."
"That was about the happiest I have been after a win in a while. We trailed this whole game it seemed like. I definitely let out a little holler at the end of that one. IT was definitely a good win."
"Tat does a lot of good things. She makes plays on defense, she can rebound, she can get to the rim. I think we had a lot of people play big roles. Faith came in when Ashlen was out and did some good things. Red came in and played well defensively and handles the ball well. It was a team win...we will take it."
On the rebound battle:
"The second half was much better. At halftime they had outscored us 5-0 in second-chance points and we had only had one offensive rebound. In the second half, we went and got eight offensive boards and outscored them 6-0 on second-chance points. We stepped up and did a better job. IT is just tough. I knew it was going to be a tough game. We won big at home, but I thought this was one of the best games we've played. The Furman team is up and down, and when you get the up, you had better be ready to play."
On Ashlen Dewart in foul trouble:
"They did a good job of isolating Ashlen and attacking her. We are going to have to look at that. When everybody sees this film, they are going to try to do the same thing."
