Olsen ran a 53.54 in the 400m dash, topping his best time by 0.19 seconds. Reese ran a 2:25.51 in the women's 800m run, 1.76 seconds better than her top time set last year. Freshman Geoff Nelson (Brentwood, Tenn.) ran a personal best in the men's 200m dash, surpassing his previous best set in December at the Christmas Invitational. Freshman Rebecca Greenwall posted a PR in the women's 800m run with a time of 2:21.70, nearly four seconds better than her time at the Christmas Invitational.
Freshman Kiaana Howard (Nashville, Tenn.) placed ninth in the women's 400m with a time of 1:02.78 with Jessica Philpott placing 12th with a time of 1:03.86, her first time competing in the shorter race.
Sophomore Patrick O'Brien (Chattanooga, Tenn.) led four Chattanooga runners in the men's 800m run with a time of 2:00.75 followed by junior John Gilpin (Nashville, Tenn.) in 10th with a time of 2:02.62. Freshman DeQuantez Sandifer (Nashville, Tenn.) placed 11th in the event with a time of2:03.59 while freshman Tosin Ayotunde (Ooltewah, Tenn.) was 15th overall with a time of 2:06.98.
In the Mile Run, freshman Matthew Marshall (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) ran the event in a time of 4:30.30 followed by classmate Taylor Hawk (Dandridge, Tenn.) with a time of 4:38.60. Freshman Zack Darby (Knoxville, Tenn.) was eighth in the men's 3000 meter run with a time of 9:10.03 while classmate Iman Isang (Chattanooga, Tenn.) was fifth in the men's 55m Hurdle finals with a time of 8.14.
The Mocs return to action next weekend at the MTSU Valentine Invitational at the Murphy Center.
