A total of 14 University of Tennessee at Chattanooga student-athletes were named to the 2009-10 Winter Academic All-Southern Conference team announced by the league office today. The winter squad consists of student-athletes who participated in men's and women's basketball, wrestling and men's and women's indoor track & field.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average entering the winter season and must have competed in at least one-half of their team's competitions during the recently-concluded winter campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least 24 credit hours in the previous two semesters.
The Mocs were represented by four members from each of the men's and women's indoor track & field teams and the wrestling squad, as well as a pair from the women's basketball team.
